Happy Belated Birthday Burgess!!!

Published by under Uncategorized

This is not because we forgot his birthday – we just didn’t blog about it.

We started celebrating Burgess’ birthday saturday night. Burgess’ mom took us all out to Buca Di Beppo for dinner and got way too much italian food, but that is perfect for my italian husband. The waitress even warned us and said, “you know the family size is really big, you’ll be just fine ordering the smaller portion…” but Burgess refused. Then we went to cold stone and Burg got a cookie dough ice cream cake AND a huge tub of “Cookie Dough’nt Ya Know It” ice cream. The man is definitely in a rut.

Sunday morning Burgess and I got up early because we were guest speakers in a small little branch about an hour away. We spoke on faith in Jesus Christ and the meeting was really spirit filled. It was a good experience. It was a beautiful drive (any drive is beautiful this time of year in Pittsburgh) so it was really nice.

We came home and took a Sunday/birthday nap and then we watched the Steeler game. We normally don’t watch any TV at all on Sundays but we decided it would be OK to watch the game on his birthday. We then decided we would never do that again because they lost. Not a very nice gift.

Burgess did get some great gifts from family and friends and we are very grateful. Even the baby got some gifts :) It was a really great day.

I just need to say how wonderful my husband is. I am so grateful to be married to such a great man. He is a very thoughtful and caring husband. He is working so hard to take care of our family and make sure we have everything that we need. He already love his baby boy so much and is mindful to talk to him everyday. It is funny because he will normally start moving around right after Burgess starts talking to him. It is sweet.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST HUSBAND AND DADDY!

Happy Half Birthday Baby Coffield!

Published by under Uncategorized

Baby Coffield is now half way baked! He had his half birthday yesterday, so I brought donuts into work to celebrate with my co-workers. Of course I helped myself and had a couple for the baby too. I ended up having 4 donuts before the day was over and the baby and I both felt the consequences. I had a headache by the end of the day and the baby was doing flip after flip in my stomach for most of the day. He usually keeps pretty active but yesterday he was definitely celebrating. It was really fun! Yay, half way to having a beautiful baby boy in my arms and not in my belly :)

It’s a…..

Published by under Uncategorized

We have been waiting for this day for so long!  For approximately 16 weeks we have wondered every single day, “Are we having a boy or a girl?”  At first we both really felt like it is was girl and chose some really great girl names, then as time went on we both started to wonder if those feelings were right.  We continued to go back and forth.  Many people guessed but only a few can be right…..

An active baby and a soft heart…

Published by under Uncategorized

This week has been really fun because I have been feeling the baby move every day.  This baby seems to be more active around 9:30 at night.  Although that is the most active time for the baby, as each day goes by I can feel the baby more.  It is really fun.  It’s not much but even Burgess has been able to feel it from the outside.  It’s so cool to feel a growing child inside of me. It humbles me to think of the responsibility the Lord has entrusted me with.

Speaking of humbling.  General Conference today was such a blessing.  The talks were wonderful and spirit filled.  I felt the love and comfort of the Lord listening to His chosen servants speaking the words He put into their hearts.  I felt very inspired and uplifted by the thoughts that were shared.  If anyone didn’t get to hear the Conference you can go to www.lds.org and then under the General Conference title click on the link that reads watch or listen to conference.  It will be well worth the time.

President Monson announced 5 new temples to be built all around the world (in Canada, Argentina, Kansas City, Philadelphia, and Italy).  My dad will be over 4 of these temples (he doesn’t cover Argentina).  I am so excited to hear about the church growing all over the world and especially here in PA.  This announcement just set the mood or a great conference as we were instructed to go forward with faith, hope and charity in our lives come what may.  We need to continue to bring people unto Christ and help them to find the restored Gospel.  We need to stay optimistic and hopeful for the future.  We need to remember that heaven is never far and that our Heavenly Father is ALWAYS close and he will never leave us, he will even send angels to warn, protect and comfort.  We need to remember who were are and keep our promises to the Lord.  We need to most of all remember that the Son of God gave His life for each of us and that projects on each of us immense value and also great responsibility.

I am very grateful for the special blessing it is to have the privilege of carrying a life inside of me and also for the knowledge that I have of this restored gospel.  I am excited for the meeting tomorrow :)
